Privacy Policy

1. Information We Do Not Collect

OneShot does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Photos, videos, or media of any kind
• EXIF metadata or location data read during Prep analysis
• Camera usage patterns or editing history
• Device identifiers, IP addresses, or advertising IDs
• Names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information
• Crash reports or analytics events
• Usage statistics or feature engagement data

2. How the App Works (On-Device Only)

All processing in OneShot happens entirely on your iPhone:

• Camera: Photos and videos are captured and saved directly to your iOS Photos library via Apple's MediaLibrary framework. They do not transit any server.
• Studio editing: Image processing uses the Skia graphics library running locally on your device's GPU. Edited photos are saved back to your Photos library. Nothing is uploaded.
• Prep — metadata reading: EXIF data is read locally from files in your Photos library. The data is displayed on screen and never transmitted.
• Prep — metadata stripping: The stripped output is written to a temporary file on your device and saved to your Photos library. The source metadata is discarded locally.
• Reverse geocoding: If you tap "Reveal place name" in the Prep tab, OneShot calls Apple's CoreLocation geocoding API, which is a local system service on iOS. This is a system call, not a request to OneShot's servers (we have none).
• Log export: Tapping "Export Logs" in Settings packages your local session logs into a file and opens the iOS share sheet. Logs contain only technical events like "[Camera] Photo captured" — never photo content, metadata values, or personal data.

3. Third-Party SDKs

OneShot is built with Expo (React Native). It includes the following runtime libraries, none of which transmit data:

• react-native-vision-camera — camera access, runs locally
• @shopify/react-native-skia — GPU image rendering, runs locally
• expo-media-library — iOS Photos access, local only
• expo-image-manipulator — image resizing, local only
• expo-sensors — device motion for level indicator, local only

None of these libraries send data to external servers. OneShot does not include any analytics SDK (Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.), advertising SDK, or crash reporting SDK.

4. Permissions

OneShot requests the following iOS permissions, all of which are used solely on-device:

• Camera — to capture photos and videos in the Camera tab
• Microphone — to record audio with video
• Photo Library (read/write) — to pick photos for editing/cleaning and to save output
• Location (when in use, optional) — only when you tap "Reveal place name" to look up a GPS coordinate in a photo's EXIF data; we do not track your current location

5. No Accounts or Registration

OneShot requires no account, email address, or registration of any kind. There is no login screen. You purchase the app once through the App Store and use it without identifying yourself to us.

6. Data Retention

Because we collect no data, there is nothing to retain or delete. Your photos remain in your iOS Photos library under your control. OneShot's temporary processing files (in iOS Caches/) are managed by the operating system and may be deleted by iOS at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

OneShot does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app does not contain age-gated features and is safe for all ages.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this privacy policy (for example, if a future version of OneShot adds a feature that involves data), we will update the date at the top and describe the change. The current version will always be available at this URL.
